Mojave Aster Xylorhiza tortifolia is a species of flowering shrub in the aster family. It is also sometimes called Mojave Woodyaster. and is native to the Mojave, Sonoran, and Great Basin Deserts.
Mojave Aster grows in arid canyons and bajadas/washes, from 790 to 6,560 ft in elevation. Habitats it is found in include creosote bush scrub, saltbush scrub, and Joshua tree woodland.
Mojave Aster reaches a height of up to 3 feet.
