Larrea tridentata, Creosote Bush is a prominent species in the Mojave, Sonoran, and Chihuahuan Deserts of western North America, and its range includes those and other regions in portions of southeastern California, Arizona, southern Nevada, southwestern Utah, New Mexico, and Texas.
Crosote is slow to moderate in growth from 3 to 10 feet, but is sometimes larger. Growth rate is greatly increased if plant is able to access a consistent source of water in the spring and summer months.
